A very interesting book to learn counting. The teddy bear falls out of the children's bed, trying to get it back, but the TWO eyes are closed, however, THREE mice come to him and encourage them to play (countdown from 1 to 10). They drive FOUR cars, watch FIVE stars, drop in tea for SIX dolls, etc. However, Ted is sad and wants to get back to bed. In this way, the idea is to build stairs from TEN bricks. The plan didn’t work out and everything goes to pieces (countdown from 10 to 1), but as a result of this TWO small eyes open and take a teddy bear to bed.

The book is written by the creator of The Gruffalo. Those who „know” now nod their heads in approval, those who don’t know: calmly, two parts of Grufallo stand on the shelf and wait their turn. The graphics are soft - sharp, a bit fairy-like, even though it's just a child's room. Rather pastel and delicate (without looking at the picture you will not know exactly what I mean).

Zo loves Ted. In fact, "bear" was one of the first words she consciously pronounced, just when we read this book.

In connection with the above, I have a great fondness for this book. I like the graphics very much, the plot also, because it is’nt an ordinary countdown of numbers. Bear is experiencing a great adventure there despite being outside his comfort zone.
