Another book from the TV series Ben and Holly.
This time we are dealing with a book version of the entire episode of
"picnic fairies". For the uninitiated: Fairies organize a picnic to
which the invite elves Ben. They remind him that he took his food in a
backpack, because the fairies have a special basket that you can ask for
absolutely everything to eat and get it. Ben orders lemonade, the fairies mock
a little bit that he can get anything, and he wants lemonade, so Ben changes
his order for lemonade with two ice cream balls. Later, the fairies order
jelly, which appears in too much absorbing the entire kingdom like jelly flood.
Nanny Plum uses a special spell that reduces the entire magic of the kingdom
for a while. Therefore, the magic of the basket disappears and the fairies are
left without food ... Fortunately, Ben's unimaginable food doesn’t disappear,
so the picnic doesn’t end in failure.
Graphics, as you know, I really like it, in
this book is the same as in the series and previous books (click). The idea
with magnets is interesting. History is so constructed that the child must make
magnets to complete the illustration and show what the content is.
My child was besotted when seeing this! Gaston
and Ben, Ben and Gaston - all the time. The only thing that interests her in
this book are two magnets of beloved character.
I think the book is really good, however, it
has a few drawbacks. Magnets in the pages aren’t on the whole, as is the case
with other books of this type (they’re in the form of a rectangle, which covers
about half of the page). It means that you can’t place the magnet wherever you
want but where you need it. The magnet packaging isn’t the most durable and is
in two parts. If the top is bad, it's the end of storage. The magnets do not
stick well either.
